Chris Dobson
Director of Programs & Action Projects Initiative Lead
Chris Dobson joined World Affairs in 2021 as the new Action Projects Initiative Lead. Born and raised in the UK, he brings experience in politics, non-profits and research into social justice issues in the UK and USA. Prior to joining World Affairs, Chris was a Regional Organizer for the Labour Party, focusing on campaign strategy, communications and community engagement. As a Bay area transplant, he enjoys exploring the region, learning its history and supporting its future.
Chris has a BA in History and an MS in Global Politics – his thesis analyzed the creation and distribution of risk due to global capital flows from a justice perspective. Chris is particularly interested in the intersection of people, politics and public space; finding commonalties and appreciating difference across cultures; and the role of social infrastructure in supporting healthy, vibrant communities.
