Katie Zoglin

Katie Zoglin (Chair, Peninsula Chapter) is Senior Deputy City Attorney with the San Jose City Attorney’s Office. She is a seasoned litigator in federal and state courts and has twenty years of experience working as an attorney for Santa Clara County and San Francisco. Ms. Zoglin is also an experienced trial attorney and served as a prosecutor in Santa Clara County. Ms. Zoglin has worked internationally to promote the rule of law and democracy. As a Fulbright scholar, she conducted human rights work in Paraguay. Ms. Zoglin has been an author and speaker on topics such as war crimes tribunals, women’s rights and human rights abuses under military regimes. She has worked for the American Bar Association’s Rule of Law initiative in Morocco, Serbia, and Macedonia. Additionally, Ms. Zoglin worked in Washington DC, where she oversaw Freedom House’s programs in the Middle East and North Africa. Most recently, she returned from Tunisia where she served as an elections monitor for the Carter Center, overseeing the country’s first open election after the Arab Spring. She graduated from Harvard Law School and Harvard College.
