Jarrod Sport graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in Legal Studies. But his degree didn’t reflect his passion, and his career has been defined by his minor study in Social Documentation.
Recently, as Senior Producer at StoryCorps and a 2017 AIR New Voices Scholar, Jarrod uncovered the intersections of social movements and creative storytelling. The social and political movements that affect all of us are fueled by people with compelling, vibrant stories, and Jarrod is committed to documenting their experiences. Every story has its own identity, so he utilizes several mediums—including audio, video, and photography—to capture the sights and sounds of a rich and complex narrative.
Jarrod was previously a Media Producer at World Affairs for eight years, and helped transition the multimedia from event live-streaming to radio production to podcast development. He returns to World Affairs to help build the future of media post-pandemic.
