COVID-19 Safety
World Affairs resumed in-person programming in February 2022, and we continue to take a thoughtful approach to policies that help keep our community safe. In 2021, we upgraded the ventilation systems in our San Francisco building to meet the highest safety standards and also follow strict cleaning protocols.
All members and guests who’d like to come to in-person World Affairs events must be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations as defined by the CDC. This policy applies to speakers and all World Affairs staff as well. We encourage but do not require masks, which are available on request at the check-in desk at all in-person events. If you have registered for an event but are feeling unwell, please stay home. We will be happy to refund the cost of your ticket; you can arrange for this by sending an email to communications@worldaffairs.org.
For everyone’s well-being, World Affairs will keep monitoring public health guidelines and update our safety measures accordingly. We will also continue to offer timely, engaging programs online. You can check out all our upcoming programs—virtual and in person—here.
