Stanley Knight
Board Member
In 2010, Stanley Knight founded a tour and travel business based in Napa Valley. He is a TripAdvisor Destination Expert for the region, a tour planner, travel ambassador and international trade coordinator for distributors coming to California’s wine country from around the world.
In his previous career, he worked in country risk analysis and trade research, government affairs and has a credential in project management and Six Sigma. He worked in the International Economics section at the Federal Reserve Bank, Bank of America’s Global Technology group, was government affairs coordinator at the Clorox Company and a consultant at the Fireman’s Fund Technology Center. At Napa-based Regulus Systems, he was a program manager, implementing an integrated ERP architecture for multiple operations and data centers around the U.S.
An avid traveler from an airline family, Stan has visited many countries for research, leisure and adventure travel in remote areas. He spent a year exploring Africa as a teenager and graduated with honors in political science and economics from Tufts University. He earned an M.A. in international relations and economic development from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, a joint program at Tufts and Harvard’s Kennedy School.
Stan is an advocate for cultural exchange, youth development and world affairs awareness in the community. He is a local Scout leader, Eagle Scout advisor and member of the Scouting International Committee. He recently represented World Affairs as a delegate to a United Nations conference in Havana, Cuba, where he was a panelist on philanthropy and took a cultural tour of the island. He is currently involved with Outspan Orphan Schools and Scouting in Uganda. Stan was a professional skier and is an alumni member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America.
