Avanish Sahai is an India-born, Brazil-raised, US-educated senior technology executive, investor, and entrepreneur. He is married to Faye Karnavy Sahai, Global Head of Innovation at AIG, and father of Alex, 18, and Michelle, 16, both active members of the Model United Nations community. Professionally, Mr. Sahai serves as the vice president, ISV and apps partner ecosystem of Google (since December 2019). Previously, Mr. Sahai served as the global vice president, ISV and technology alliances at ServiceNow from December 2016 to December 2019. He also led the global channels and alliances team at InsideSales.com, a rapidly growing company in the machine learning and AI space. Previously he led Salesforce’s global cloud partnership and channels team and saw the company expand from $500M to over $5 in revenues.
He has also held c-level positions at multiple successful technology startups over 25 years in Silicon Valley.
Formerly, Avanish was a senior Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company management consultants, where he helped established and was a co-leader of the worldwide Software & Services industry practice. He started his career at Oracle, where he was an engineer and product manager. Avanish was a contributor to Asian Advantage: Key Strategies for Winning in the Asia- Pacific Region, a seminal book by Prof. George Yip of UCLA Anderson that foretold the emergence of Asian countries on the global economic scene. He is also on the Board of Directors of BayBrazil, a non-profit connecting Brazil and the Silicon Valley to drive innovation and entrepreneurship lessons across the two regions. He holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, an MS in Computer Engineering from Boston University, and a BS in Electronic Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, where he grew up.
