A dramatic reshuffling of power dynamics is underway in the Middle East that will alter the balance of power in profound ways and reshape roles, ambitions, alliances and strategies in a complex and volatile region that is crucial for global stability.

Dr Abbas Milani, the Moghadam Director of Iranian Studies at Stanford University, co-director of the Iran Democracy Project at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, and distinguished scholar of Iranian history and culture, will unpack the emerging new balance of power and its implications for the political destinies of key Middle Eastern nations.
