The World Affairs Center
World Affairs is housed in the World Affairs Center – a 6-story building in Union Square in San Francisco which is owned and operated by World Affairs. The building offers meeting facilities including a large auditorium, a members’ lounge, and smaller meeting rooms – all of which are available for rent for special events. We especially welcome non-profits and businesses who may want to rent our space for their events. For further information, please visit us here.
World Affairs programs are held in our Auditorium which is located on the second floor.

Driving from the South Bay
US 101 North
- Follow signs for Bay Bridge/Interstate 80
• Exit on Fourth Street
• Turn left onto Bryant Street
• Turn left onto Third Street
• Third Street becomes Kearny Street
• Turn left onto to Sutter Street
I 280 North
- Stay on I280 North until it turns into King Street in San Francisco
• Turn left on Third Street
• Stay on Third Street which becomes Kearny after Market Street
• Stay on Kearny
• Turn left on Sutter Street
Driving from the North Bay
- Take the Golden Gate Bridge to US 101 (Lombard Street)
- Turn right on Scott Street
• Turn left on Bush Street
• Turn right on Grant Avenue
• Turn right on Sutter Street
Driving from the East Bay
- Take the Bay Bridge
• Take the Fremont exit
• Stay on Fremont and pass Market Street
• Turn left onto Pine Street
• Turn left onto Battery which becomes Market
• Turn right onto Sutter Street
Taking BART
- Take BART to the Embarcadero station
• Walk southwest on Market Street (turning your back to the Bay)
• Turn slight right onto Sutter Street
