Global Citizens Certificate Program
Over the past five decades, World Affairs’ one-of-a-kind education programs have inspired and equipped close to 10,000 young people to be global citizens. Students meet with leading experts, work with local nonprofits, explore international careers and study abroad, as they strengthen their leadership skills, civic engagement, and geopolitical awareness.
Join our youth-centered civic and leadership programs.
Want to change the world from the inside out? Gain life-changing knowledge? Work with soon-to-be friends on vital issues?
In short, are you ready to lead as a global citizen? You’ve come to the right place.
Learn from experts in international affairs about our current challenges—and how they can be transformed into opportunities.
Each spring, summer, or fall, you can join a select group of Bay Area high school and college students that meets monthly in San Francisco or the East Bay to discuss contemporary global issues, take part in thought-provoking policy workshops and engage with diplomats and other experts in international affairs. Thanks to our time-tested geo-civic curriculum, you’ll develop real-world skills and experience that will serve you well in college and your future career, like:
- Science-based problem/solution analysis
- Civic engagement
- Intercultural communication
- Team building
And then you’ll put your skills and experience to work in a local community action project of your choice, where you’ll see first-hand the difference you can make.
