North American Forum

In 2010, the sixth annual Forum was held in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Delegates from the three countries met over three days to discuss issues of shared concern under the theme “North American Cooperation in a Challenging Security Environment.” This year’s conversation focused on finding collaborative solutions to combat drug cartels, address climate change and encourage economic recovery. The US delegation included leaders across the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Remarks were delivered by Assistant Secretary of Defense Paul Stockton, US Ambassador to Mexico Carlos Pasucal, and NORTHCOM and NORAD Commander James Winnefeld.
